You must be at least (eighteen) 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in your state whichever is older), a legal resident of, and reside within, the 50 United States and the District of Columbia ("U.S.") at the time of entry to participate in this Sweepstakes (“Entrant”).
The Monumental Moments Photo & Video Contest begins and ends during the period specified on the Contest web page (the “Promotion Period”). The Contest is void wherever prohibited by law, or where the Contest does not comply with applicable registration or filing requirements of any state or local jurisdiction. By entering the Contest, you agree to these Official Rules, which include limitations of your rights and remedies. The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Inc., Twitter, Inc., or Instagram, LLC. Your use of the Facebook, Twitter or Instagram website or application is governed by any applicable terms of use of such website or application.
How to Enter

E-mail entries must be received during the Promotion Period. The person whose information is set forth in an e-mail entry submitted in accordance with this subsection will be deemed the entrant and will receive one (1) entry into the Contest, subject to the eligibility restrictions below. Limit one (1) entry per e-mail received. In the event of any dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to submit the e-mail entry will be deemed the entrant.
Eligibility: This Contest is open only to residents of the Unitied States of America, subject to all applicable laws and regulations. The Contest is not open to (a) any employees of Sponsor, the prize providers, or any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, or advertising or promotion agencies (such entities, collectively, the “Promotion Parties”), or (b) any such employee’s immediate family members (e.g., spouse, parent, step-parent, sibling, step-sibling, half-sibling, child, and step-child) or any person living in the same household as such individuals. Any false or deceptive entries or acts (including using multiple accounts with the same social media tool in order to enter multiple times) by you will render all entries by you ineligible. Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed, or similar methods of entry by you will render all entries by you ineligible. Partial and incomplete entries may be disqualified. You and your entry may not violate, misappropriate, or infringe any intellectual property, publicity, contractual, privacy, or other right of any third party or any applicable regulation, social media or other guideline or community standard. Your entry may not contain material that is offensive, defamatory, threatening, abusive, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate.
In order to be eligible to win, participants must not have won in the previous month. At least one full Campaign period must have occurred between the current date of consideration and the previous win.
Campaign Periods: Entries will be accepted online at https://www.blackhillsbadlands.com/monumental-moments.
Entry is limited to original works for which the entrant holds all applicable rights.
Submissions for current month's contest are accepted from 12:00 pm MT on the 1st of the month through 11:59 pm MT on the 21st of the month. Any submissions received after the 21st will be considered for the following month's contest.
Winners will be announced the first week of the following month.
Entry Rules: All photographs and videos must be taken in the Black Hills and Badlands regions of South Dakota, which includes the Black Hills of Wyoming.
Winner Selection and Notification: Winner(s) will be selected from among all eligible entries received on or about the end of the Promotion Period by Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Winner(s) will be notified with further instructions by email promptly after the drawing and must respond to such notification as directed therein within ten (10) days after its transmission by Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association. All prizes will be awarded provided that a sufficient number of eligible entries are received.
An album with the top photo and video submissions will be published on the last Friday of the month. Voting beings at 12 a.m. MT on the last Friday of each month and ends at 11:59 p.m. MT on the Sunday following the last Friday of the month.
The photo and video with the most votes are the winners.
Prizes: The Winner(s) of the Campaign (the “Winner”) will receive an approximate $200 retail value package provided by contest Sponsor. Sponsors will be named each month at https://www.blackhillsbadlands.com/monumental-moments. Winner(s) will be notified via the email provided through the contest submission form. The selected winner(s) will receive a prize valued at $200. The business that is sponsoring the monthly contest will arrange to deliver the prize to the winners.
Actual/appraised value may differ at time of prize award. The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by the Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at the Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association’s discretion. The prize is nontransferable. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of Winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by Winner is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for the Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association to use Winner’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Odds: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Disclaimer: None of the Promotion Parties is responsible or liable for lost, late, damaged, destroyed, delayed, stolen, misdirected, incomplete, or illegible entries; entries not received during the Promotion Period for any reason; or other errors of any kind. Prizes are awarded “as is, where is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation any warranty of merchantability or suitability for a particular purpose. None of the Promotion Parties is responsible or liable for any typographical or other printing errors in the offer or administration of the Contest.
Disqualification: Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association may disqualify any winner (and cause any applicable prizes to be forfeited) if the winner fails to comply with any of the terms or conditions of these Official Rules (as determined by Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association) or if Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association is unable to contact a potential winner (or any notice or prize is returned as undeliverable). In the event of disqualification of a winner or forfeiture of a prize, Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association may select an alternate winner in a random drawing in Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Associatio's sole discretion.
Miscellaneous: Decisions of Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules will not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules will not constitute a waiver of that provision. When terms such as “may” are used in these Official Rules, Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association has sole and absolute discretion. You agree to waive any rights to claim ambiguity of these Official Rules.
Personal Email Identification Release: By submitting your email address you agree to be added to the Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association's email list and agree to receive promotional materials from Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association, partners and all participating Promotional Parties.
Release and Indemnification: BY PARTICIPATING, ENTRANTS AGREE TO HOLD Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association, ITS EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS, THEIR RESPECTIVE PARENTS, SUBSIDIARIES, AND AGENTS, AS WELL AS THE IMMEDIATE FAMILY (DEFINED AS PARENTS, SPOUSES, CHILDREN, SIBLINGS AND GRANDPARENTS) AND HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS OF EACH SUCH EMPLOYEE, OFFICER, DIRECTOR, AND THE DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, SHAREHOLDERS, REPRESENTATIVES AND ASSIGNS OF ANY OF THE FORGOING ENTITIES, HARMELSS AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS AND LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF PARTICIPATION IN SWEEPSTAKES OR ACCEPTANCE, RECIEPT, POSESSION OR USE/MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE.
