Keystone, South Dakota is also known as the home to Carrie Ingalls Swanzey. Yes, this is the Carrie Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie. Carrie was a newspaperwoman in and around Keystone. She married a local widower by the name of David Swanzey, raised his children and made their home here.

The museum has artifacts from the Ingalls family,
including Ma Ingalls' China Shepherdess.

Hours vary month to month... However, if you have a group that would like to visit outside of these hours, please contact us - We'll do our best to make it work!

  • Saturday 10am-2pm
  • Last day for 2022 will be September 30th
